In September 2007 teamWorx and UFA along with Gruner + Jahr and the Agency Crossing Pictures started the FLOADED project. This included a website with the short film “Die Erlkönigin” as well as a innovative and interactive advertisement. Shortly put: first-class and interactive branded entertainment.
Prominent brand partners included Mecedes-Benz, Canon, Harman-Kardon, Michelin, Gravis, Sunload and Stern and an interactive “brand layer” allowed users to pause the film when products from the brand partners appeared on screen. With the use of the “brand button” users were led to a profile where they could learn more about the product from the film and could visit the brand partner’s website.
“Die Erlkönigen” was produced by teamWorx. The cast included Franziska Schlattner (Elementarteilchen) and Robert Seeliger(Sommer 04) and the film was staged by Roman Kuhn.
THE FILM: Mercedes-Benz is doing a top secret photo shoot for its new super-roadster on an abandoned racetrack in the north of France. No one outside of the people at the shoot have seen the car. The photographer George Zabrinski who is half secret agent and half paparazzi is on the case. What he doesn’t know is that Laura Ziegler, the new head of security for the company, is out to stop him by any means necessary.
